Check Cashing
The Cashier's Office offers check cashing services, as outlined below.
Personal Checks
Personal checks of up to $100.00 may be cashed with a 50¢ charge per check. The following criteria must be met:
- Must be either a student or employee of the university
- The check is made payable to UC Regents
- The check writer is present and has the required identification*
- The check writer is in good standing with the university
- Returned checks can result in suspension of check cashing privileges
University Checks
University checks of up to $500.00 may be cashed at no charge. The following criteria must be met:
- The check is endorsed at the cashier's window
- The payee is present and has the required identification*
Special Departmental Check Cashing:
- Contact the Cashier's Office at 752-0460
- Two party checks are not accepted
*A current student identification card or a current staff card with valid picture identification is required.
